We’ve been keeping this one quiet since July.

Here’s the behind the scenes for our Main Fashion shoot with Actor Rafe Spall, star of Shaun of the Dead, One Day & Hot Fuzz.

We were up early to head over to Big Sky Studios… “Big” is an understatement for this place. We parked up around the back to unload the gear into what seemed like an aircraft hanger, our space was huge. Inside, sitting smack bang in the middle of the cove sat an olympic sized trampoline. We set up, made sure the light was right without breaking our legs and all that was left to do now was get Mr. Rafe Spall on board with this too.

We were back at Street Studios the other week for Esquire. We had the studio space and the outside roof, seeing as though the sun was shining, we thought we’d make the most of the sun england has to offer but shooting some images outside.

Back with In London today in a gorgeous location house over-looking the thames. The house was a maze full of beautiful rooms all with a certain look about them. We carted in a bunch of gear into this enormous house… and used none of it. We settled with simplicity; A Leica, a reflector, a fog Machine, a laptop and some beautiful summer sunlight. The results were fantastic.

This week we made our way to the countryside. We managed to navigate through the tiny, 1 car wide roads until we reached the location. With enough fake snow to build a snowman we started to get the set ready and brought a tractor down to the set. By the time we had finished you would have thought it was the middle of winter… in August, which subsequently felt like winter anyway.

Back in Spring studios today with the guys from FHM & Next. Nice to see some old friends again. You would have thought it was the dead of night in the studio. We blacked the entire place out to play with 3 projectors so that we could get some New York skyline shots up on the cove. It was a cool day, everyone was loving the tunes and it all went smoothly. Shots look great too…

Shooting Miami-style earlier this year, for White Stuff…  We were joined by a fab team – and some superheroes (just in case anything went down on the streets)

Some wonderful locations were picked, including a very classic american diner. Michael Portello was eating lunch there as we arrived, but soon disappeared when he mad eye-contact with our superheroes.

The next location was unreal. A beautiful house the small, superstar-infested Star Island. We spent the day shooting in different parts of the house with some great music up on the sound-system. The dog even joined in for some fun and we ended with a bang by throwing the male models into the pool for the final shot.

The last day was spent packing up the gear and preparing for England, but not before a quick dip in the pool. Got to make the most of the sun before heading back to the lovely grey February skies of London!

We recently had the opportunity to spend 28 days in Cape Town. The Crew were fantastic, the food was great and even if we did wait half an hour in the mornings for the coffee, we still soldiered on.

We ate lunch on the roof of the studio every day and had our 15 minutes of sun whilst looking over at table mountain. We were met by the crew below us nearly every day up top which was a laugh.

After just under 2 weeks, the crew changed for the second installment of the job. Very.co.uk. We were joined by Art Director, Sarah Cromwell and Model, Stephanie Cherry. 2 Fresh faces for the next 2 weeks. We moved studio into a beautiful old converted church. it was a fantastic space to work and before we knew it, our time in South Africa was over.

We arrived at the studio around 8:30 for SHE Magazine. We made our way up to the top floor of Snap Studios to Milliners Loft. It’s a beautiful space to work from. Phil, Marie and I set up and the rest of the team arrived. We got some fantastic shots thoughout the day, including the model wrapping herself up in an old worn and torn Union Jack flag. Very cool.
